Did you know…

It is said that the village of North Baddesley hosted the Knights of St John of Jerusalem in the 12th Century. The Knights, who were carers for pilgrims to the Holy Land, stayed in North Baddesley for about 400 years until the Dissolution of the Monasteries due to King Henry VIII's ruling over the Catholic Church. The presence of these carers lives on in the area, with places such as Zionshill and Knightwood named in honour of the men.

About North Baddesley

This large village in Hampshire is situated 6 miles north of Southampton and is home to approximately 12,000 residents. With local rail and bus links frequently running, this area in Test Valley is a bustling hub of local activity. The river is famous for its trout fishing, and the area is also renowned for its close proximity to the natural splendour of New Forest National Park, just 6 miles away. There is an intoxicating feel of country living in the area while still being a stone's throw from larger cities, making it the perfect blend of convenient living.

The North Baddesley Community

The area has local schools, churches and community centres that evoke a strong sense of community. If you are outdoorsy, Baddesley Common and Emer Bog are fascinating for grassland heath and bog exploration. A wide variety of plants thrive in this environment and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. A popular boardwalk trail behind the bog is a great walk for spotting woodland wildlife. Baddesley Manor, situated opposite St John's Church, is an 18th Century building that directly connects with the Knights of St John of Jerusalem. Additionally, the village is scattered with cafes, eateries, local shops and convenience stores to ensure locals have accessibility in the area.

We used RE/MAX for the sale of our property. RE/MAX was very helpful from start to finish, always there at the end of the phone when needed. Always chasing for updates. They have been truly amazing! Their costs are also very good value for money when you consider the service they provide. I would highly recommend!

A very friendly, in-depth market appraisal. Lots of information was provided about the reason for the valuation and advice on what improvements should or shouldn’t be made if planning to sell the house soon. Overall a very helpful guide on what our house is currently worth. If we decide to sell we would definitely use RE/MAX.
